Green Dragon Tincture
Cannabis tincture made with high-proof alcohol.

Ingredients
- Trim (about an ounce)
- High-proof alcohol (about 750ml)
- Mason jar (32 ounce, wide mouth)
Preparation
Put high-proof alcohol in the freezer.
Process
1. Decarb the Cannabis
In its raw form, cannabis contains THCA, which is non-psychoactive. Decarboxylation removes a carboxyl group from THCA, converting it to THC.
- Preheat oven to 240F
- Fill mason jar with rough-ground trim
- Add lid, finger tight
- Heat for about an hour
- Shake halfway through
2. Freeze (overnight)
Cooling preserves terpenes and improves THC binding efficiency.
3. Combine and Macerate
Choose frozen or room temperature maceration:
- Frozen: 3-4 weeks, shake every 1-2 days
- Room temp: 5-7 days
Benefits of frozen extraction:
- Preserves terpenes
- Reduces chlorophyll extraction (less bitter)
- Less wax and lipid extraction (clearer product)
Potency Calculations
Example with 35.1g trim at ~16% THC:
- ~5686mg THC total
- 80% extraction = 4549mg in 750ml
- ~6mg THC per ml
Dosage Guide
- Low: 2.5-5mg (beginners)
- Moderate: 10-15mg
- High: 20-30mg (experienced)
- Very High: 50mg+
