Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw oats
  • 4 cups water (for blending)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sunflower oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 1/8 teaspoon soy lecithin

Instructions

  1. Soak Oats: Soak 1 cup of raw oats in water for 15-30 minutes. This softens the oats and reduces slimy texture.

  2. Rinse Oats: Rinse the soaked oats thoroughly with fresh water.

  3. Blend: Combine soaked oats with 4 cups fresh water. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth.

  4. Strain: Pour through a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer. Squeeze to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard or save the oat pulp.

  5. Add Ingredients: Pour strained milk back into blender. Add vanilla, maple syrup, salt, sunflower oil, xanthan gum, and soy lecithin.

  6. Blend Again: Blend on high for 20-30 seconds to incorporate all ingredients.

  7. Store: Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate. Shake well before each use as natural separation may occur.
