Vermouth
In Europe, Vermouth legally has to contain Wormwood. Vermouth comes from a German word, Wermut, which is German for Wormwood.
What many people mean when they say vermouth is aromatized and fortified wine. One of the reasons Vermouth is great for cocktails is because it contains so many notes of bitter and sweet.
Storage: Vermouth will last up to a month if you keep it refrigerated.
